Head of Budgeting & Reporting – For Qataris
The Head of Budgeting & Reporting is responsible for preparing financial reports for stakeholders in addition to ensuring that the order-to-requisition part of the procurement cycle is monitored against allocated budgets and complies with network policy. Also, committed funds and spent are properly reflected and allocated in management reporting.
Missions
- Review monthly (and more frequently if required) accounting reports and financial statements against known and expected Dept. spend. Analytical review for trends, exceptions and consistency with stated plans, budget and requisitions.
- Meet with management to clarify and update the requested reports.
- Review ad-hoc and routine financial Management reports based on management requests.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document reports templates.
- Design and plan for generating and gathering required information from end-users and accounting system.
- Liaise with Procurement and Accounting teams to ensure relevant parts of the order-cash cycle are managed effectively.
- Review and examine accounting records, or other financial reports procured by the team to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Co-ordinate with the other units and other sections in the department.
- Co-ordinate with internal and external auditors as well as State Audit Bureau staff to facilitate their review and audit process and fulfill their requirements.
- Participate in the due diligence team for new projects.
- Any other special project assigned by Finance Director.
- Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested.
- Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.
Required qualifications
- Education: Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance is a must. Accounting Certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Finance, Budgeting, Managerial Accounting, Operational Auditing or related fields at supervisor level in International Large Organization.
